Technical Engineer in Surrey Not bad, Not great. Only spent a short time at Vaillant. Can honestly say the engineers and some of the OST's are absolutely brilliant. Training on there appliances was not the greatest but don't tell them that as despite them begging you for honest feedback, if you do criticise any part of the process certain low level managers(OSM's) label you a bad egg for no reason and continue to do so every day until you finally decide enough is enough and leave! Now i won't give names but all i will say is this mainly applies if you are applying for a position in S/SW/SE England. As i say the OSM's who work alongside the OST's are hit and miss. Tend to treat/talk to you like your an apprentice despite you having more time and experience on the job than they have and more technical knowledge of there product. Workload is pretty fair and your day is what you make it to an extent, the occasional poor planning or nightmare job aside. You need to travel up to Derby to have your van stock done and team briefs can be an hour or so from your working area and you can still be expected to do up to 3 jobs after meetings or on your way back from derby!
